We are pleased to host Adam Field for a 2-day demonstration-only workshop.
Saturday and Sunday, October 6 & 7
Adam Field’s work has been called austere, honest, rhythmically meditative, precise, and intricately incised. He will demonstrate his technique of intricately carved geometric surface patterns and altered porcelain forms.
Born and raised in Colorado, Adam earned his BA in art from Fort Lewis College and has had a studio practice since 2001. For two years, he immersed himself in the culturally rich art scene of the San Francisco Bay Area, where he began his full time studio practice. In 2007 he traveled to Icheon, South Korea and studied traditional Korean pottery making techniques under 6th generation Onggi master Kim Ill Maan for a year. Adam was a long-term resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation for Ceramic Arts. He is now a full time studio potter in Helena, MT.
Please bring a lunch.
Advanced registration required.
Fee includes both Saturday and Sunday.
